Wichtige Informationen

  • Für Praktika innerhalb Deutschlands gilt: Bei dem vom Studierenden zu absolvierenden Praktikum handelt es sich um ein Pflichtpraktikum.1 Somit besteht gegenüber Ihrem Unternehmen kein rechtlicher Anspruch auf eine Vergütung oder Urlaub seitens des Studierenden. Die Erfahrung vergangener Praktika zeigt jedoch, dass viele Unternehmen bereit sind eine Vergütung zu zahlen und in einigen Fällen auch Urlaub ausgehandelt werden konnte.
  • Laut Prüfungsordnung muss der Praxispartner dem Studierenden eine Bescheinigung in Form eines Praktikumszeugnisses ausstellen, „aus dem hervor geht, dass die berufspraktische Tätigkeit des oder der Studierenden dem Zweck des Praxissemesters entsprochen und der oder die Studierende die ihm bzw. ihr übertragenden Aufgaben erfolgreich bewältigt hat.“1
  • Weiterhin ist von allen Beteiligten (Studierende, Hochschulbetreuer, Unternehmen) ein Laufzettel auszufüllen, in welchem Sie die Unternehmensdaten sowie die Praktikumstätigkeiten vor Beginn des Praktikums bestätigen. Nach Ablauf des Praktikums muss das Unternehmen die abgeleisteten Stunden auf dem Laufzettel bestätigen.
  • Für den Fall das Fragen oder Probleme während des Praktikums auftauchen sollten, tauschen Sie ihre Kontaktdaten mit dem Betreuer der Hochschule aus.
  • Damit sowohl der Studierende als auch Sie im Fall von Problemen rechtlich abgesichert sind, stellen Sie einen Praktikumsvertrag aus.

Process of internship

Important information

  • The following applies to internships within Germany: The internship the student has to complete is a mandatory internship.1 This means that there is no legal entitlement to remuneration or vacation on the part of the student from your company. However, the experience of past internships shows that many companies are willing to pay remuneration and in some cases vacation could also be negotiated.
  • According to the examination regulations, the internship company must issue the student with a certificate in form of an internship certificate, “which shows, that the student’s professional activity corresponded to the purpose of the internship semester and that the student has successfully completed the tasks assigned to him or her.”1
  • Furthermore, all person involved (students, university and company supervisor) must fill a routing slip, in which you confirm the company data and the internship activities before the beginning of the internship. After the internship the company must confirm the hours worked on the routing slip.
  • In case questions or problems arise during the internship, exchange your contact details with those of the university supervisor.
  • Draw up an internship contract so that both the student and you are legally protected in the event of problems.
